Is it ironic that...

My mother in law now wants/expects support through her grief of loosing her father (in his 80's) but has not ever offered any to her son/ my husband after him loosing his father in traumatic circumstances at 18yrs old? Her attitude is "buck up, you'll be fine, you had some good times" while she is devastated and expects others to rally around during her grief for her elderly father.
