Is it ironic that...

A boy whose father abandoned him and sent him to Cuba to constantly gazes across the sea wishing he could see all the way to Cuba to see his father. Later, as an adult, he is captured and imprisoned during the Bay of Pigs invasion, after which he gazes out to sea wishing he could see all the way back to Miami.
