Is it ironic that...

I was going to buy tickets to the college football national championship game but wasn't sure I would because tickets were very expensive ($800 each). I decided to buy them until I learned than plane tickets would be even more expensive. Is it ironic that it wasn't the price of the game tickets that scared me off?
