Is it ironic that...

for a month, after meeting a girl who lives in another city ( call it A), I've been expressing frequent wishes to visit A including as recently as yesterday, and by a strange twist of events, have been asked to go for a debate being held in A, the day after tomorrow which I never expected to go to.
