Is it ironic that...
I had my landlord served with a lawsuit. She lives out of state but also has a home in California which she used to live and now rents out. She questioned the substituted service of process through a tenant of hers at the California address. The landlord argues that she can only be served "where she lives" out of state but, IRONICALLY, she gets a tax exemption at the California address where she was served by claiming that her primary place of residence, or "where she lives," is at the California address. Ha!
