Is it ironic that...

i have a tattoo from one of my favorite books that symbolizes working towards one life goal that the character is willing/ and does sacrifice everything for. This was a symbol for me while I was stuck going in circles trying to rekindle a relationship with an ex. things would go well then bad and we'd stop talking before starting all over again. the final book in the series just came out and the character reaches his goal after everything he's given up and is forced back to the beginning to start his quest again.
