Is it ironic that...

I picked up my car from a body shop today, having just completed repairs to a small dent I caused. In the parking lot, upon leaving with my now-repaired car, I backed up and "nearly" hit another automobile. The other driver had to sound his horn to stop me from hitting him. Had I actually hit the vehicle, I believe that would have been considered ironic. Agree?
