Is it ironic that...

............................ I was complaining to the wife that i had to pay to park my car in a car park on a sunday (when most roads are free to park, but the wife wanted to be closer to the shop). However after relenting with the wife, I used the car park, then paid the machine but when exiting found that the barrier was fixed up on the exit regardless of payment. ........................... Is the irony complete considering i was complaining about having to pay, then paid anyway, then found there was no need to pay? or is that still just an unfortunate event? I'm thinking that it is comedy irony due to my original complaints (otherwise its just unfortunate)
