In the song "Praise the War Machine," the band Zao hails acts of wanton violence and brutality as being desirable, while the album of which the song is a part decries the moral depravity of our time. The question is, is it ironic to praise something that is clearly defined within its own context as not being praiseworthy? If so, what kind of irony is this an example of?
